Reference VIVITAR “Photokina 2008 in Cologne” from 23 September – 28 September 2010:
The international leading trade fair “Photokina” in Cologne serves as one of the largest communication and sales platforms in the world for the photographic and imaging industry.
The trade fair stand of our exhibitor “VIVITAR” at the “Photokina 2008” covered 129 m². The specific requirement for this was to design a stand that only allows access to selected visitors, but nevertheless appears to be open and inviting.
High columns with logos, backlit textile banners and illuminated display cabinets in the wall covering provided a very good long-distance effect.
Half-open walls with integrated display boxes allowed the stand to appear more transparent and an illuminated reception counter in the shape of the exhibitor’s logo that was specifically designed for the client served as an eye-catcher in the entrance area.
With the colour design, we worked with black-white contrast, which allowed the stand to appear sophisticated and stylish, as well as the light maple laminate.
However, this trade fair stand not only distinguished itself by its visually very impressive design, but its preparations also proceeded unusually.
Four weeks prior to the start of the trade fair, the English exhibitor “VIVITAR” was taken over by the American company “SAKAR” which initially stopped the order on 27 August. Subsequently, we put everything on ice, did not buy any material or start any production. We assumed that this order would be cancelled.
However, an agreement was then able to be reached with the American company after all and we were able to complete the project in the shortest time, even with several modifications – a major challenge for our Planning, Production and Logistics departments!
The fact that MDS MESSEBAU was able to realise the trade fair stand to the client’s full satisfaction, in spite of this flurry of activities, resulted in another order, i.e. the preparations for “Photokina 2010” are already underway. Furthermore, participations in the CeBIT and IFA are envisaged for 2011.
